EMC announces new Flash, enterprise storage and Scale-Out NAS products

EMC India announced new product releases across its Flash, enterprise storage and Scale-Out NAS portfolios.

The new releases of EMC XtremIO, EMC VMAX3, EMC Isilon OneFS, and the availability of EMC ViPR 2.0, ViPR SRM 3.5, and the EMC ECS Appliance will help address key industry issues such as infrastructure silos, security and manageability.

Two recent studies reflect the growth plans of EMC India.

By 2018, Hybrid cloud will be a common scenario in over 80 percent of end user organizations in India with most enterprises looking at embracing it to drive cost efficiency and to increase profitability, said Gartner.

57 percent of Indian enterprises are planning to invest in BYOD and mobile technologies for their companies, according to another IT study.

Abhijit Potnis, director Technology Solutions – India and SAARC, said: “IT solution providers that can enable customers to leverage hybrid cloud advantages will have the competitive edge, because they will be able to manage the complex interdependences of different IT services and delivery models in organizations.”
