Dell Technologies reported revenue of $24 billion (+1 percent), operating income of $717 million and net income of $416 million in its fiscal 2020 fourth quarter.
Dell Technologies’ revenue was $92.2 billion (+2 percent), operating income of $2.6 billion and net income of $5.5 billion in fiscal 2020.
“In fiscal 2020, we focused on integration and simplicity across our businesses and product portfolio to accelerate winning go-to-market solutions for our customers,” said Jeff Clarke, chief operating officer of Dell Technologies.
Operating segments in fourth quarter
Client Solutions Group revenue reached $11.8 billion (+8 percent) — driven by 10 percent increase in commercial revenue to $8.6 billion and 4 percent increase in consumer revenue to $3.2 billion.
Client Solutions Group recorded revenue of $45.8 billion (+6 percent) with commercial up 11 percent in fiscal 2020. Client Solutions Group shipped 46.5 million units during the calendar year. It has gained PC unit share for the last seven years in a row.
Infrastructure Solutions Group revenue reached $8.8 billion (–11 percent). Dell’s storage revenue was $4.5 billion (–3 percent). Dell’s servers and networking revenue was $4.3 billion (–19 percent).
Dell gained 590 basis points of mainstream server revenue share over the last 3 years, and has been the #1 worldwide provider for 7 quarters.
VMware revenue was $3.1 billion with operating income of $1 billion in Q4. The segment delivered $10.9 billion in revenue and $3.1 billion in operating income for the full fiscal year.
