Dell inks new deal with Salesforce for infrastructure and laptops

Dell CEO Michael DellDell today announced a new multi-year deal with business software company Salesforce for supplying Dell EMC infrastructure for its global data centers and Dell Latitude laptops to employees.

Salesforce will use Dell EMC solutions, including VMAX All Flash and Isilon scale-out NAS storage arrays, Data Domain data protection products and PowerEdge servers. Salesforce will gain from the new all-flash storage arrays that will provide the petabyte-level storage and data protection.

The company did not reveal the size of the enterprise networking deal with the CRM major.

Dell EMC storage and services will enable Salesforce to maximize the performance, availability and efficiency of its infrastructure to deliver the Salesforce Intelligent Customer Success platform to customers.

Salesforce’s 25,000 employees will use Dell Latitude client solutions to access secure, manageable and reliable business-class laptops.

“Dell Technologies provides customers with the essential infrastructure to build their digital future, transform IT and protect their most important asset, information,” said Michael Dell, chairman and CEO, Dell Technologies.
