Enterprise networking vendor Dell announced a series of new big data and analytics solutions and services.

The latest releases are Dell Statistica 13.0 and new analytics-as-a-service offerings. Both are currently available worldwide. These offerings target multiple industry verticals such as banking, healthcare and insurance.

The company claimed that Statistica 13 helps to simplify and improve the process by which organizations deploy predictive models directly to data sources inside the firewall, in the cloud, and in partner ecosystems.

Dell Statistica 13 is an easy-to-use solution that requires no coding and integrates seamlessly with open source R.

Meanwhile, Dell Analytics-as-a-Service offerings help customers unearth insights, predict business outcomes, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of critical business processes.

“In the modern data economy, the ability to gain predictive insight from all data is critical to building an agile, connected and thriving data-driven enterprise,” John K. Thompson, general manager, advanced analytics, Dell Software

Whether the data comes from real-time sensors from an IoT environment, or a big data platform designed for analytics on massive amounts of disparate data, the new offerings from Dell enable detailed levels of insight and action, Thompson added.

On the same day, Dell launched new Edge Gateway 5000 Series aimed at the building and factory automation sectors. This is the newest addition to Dell’s portfolio of IoT-enabling solutions and services.

Dell is set to strengthen its presence in large-scale datacenter market with new products and IT solutions. The announcement was made at Dell World 2015.

Marius Haas, chief commercial officer and president of Dell Commercial Sales and Enterprise Solutions, said: “The new solutions and services announced demonstrate the ability to scale simply and cost-effectively.”
