CtrlS Datacenters appoints new COO for India

Infotech Lead India: Data service provider CtrlS has appointed Edwin Kolen as the chief operating officer for its business in India.

Kolen joined CtrlS Datacenters from Colruyt, India, where he led the Indian offshore development center operations.

At CtrlS Datacenters, Edwin will work in partnership with the existing leadership team to lead the growth of CtrlS business in India.

Edwin, who has nearly 20 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure and services operations for offshore/ outsourcing organizations at multinational companies in India,  has previously served as the managing director of Colruyt India.

Sridhar Reddy, CEO and founder of CtrlS Datacenters says the company will further deliver on customer expectations with continued focus on efficiency and innovation under Edwin’s leadership.

The company’s focus on hiring and retaining team members who are passionate about addressing key challenges and opportunities in dynamic IT environment has paid off so far. Within six months of initiating operations at the Mumabi data center and five years of incorporation, CtrS crossed Rs 100 crore annuity revenue during the calendar year 2012.

CtrlS closed the previous financial year on March 31 2012, with annuity revenue of Rs 47.92 crore, achieving 108 percent growth.

CtrlS Datacenters CEO Sridhar Reddy had said earlier that the company’s main focus this year will be industry verticals such as BFSI, telecom, e-commerce, gaming, mobile VAS, payment gateway, hospitality, etc. With the new appointment, the company is prepared to scale its business significantly.
