Intel Corporation has announced its latest 5th generation Intel Core processor family at Computex 2015.
The company unveiled 10 new desktop and mobile processors with improved Iris graphics and speed, including Intel Iris Pro graphics on an Intel desktop processor in the LGA form factor.
According to Intel, Intel Core i7-5775-C delivers up to 35 percent better media performance and over 2 times better graphics performance than the previous generation.
The increase in graphics performance is due to Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200, Intel’s most powerful client processor graphics and media engine.
The company has also announced five new desktop SKUs which delivers great performance for gamers and creators on the go.
The Intel Core i7-5950HQ processor offers up to 95 percent better media performance and up to 2 times 3D graphics performance as compared to current generation.
These new processors round out the performance segment of the 5th gen Intel Core processor family, code-named Broadwell, said Intel.
Intel has also introduced Intel Xeon processor E3-1200 v4 product family integrated with Intel Iris Pro graphics P6300.
The product family features the latest generation Intel Xeon processor built on 14nm process technology and delivers up to 1.4 times more performance for video transcoding and up to 1.8 times 3D graphics performance compared to the previous generation.
The Intel Xeon processor E3-1200 v4 family features integrated Intel Iris Pro graphics P6300 and Intel Quick Sync Video for hardware-accelerated transcoding performance.
The Intel Xeon processor E3-1200 v4 family also provides a cost efficient solution for remote workstation delivery of complex 3D and 2D applications over local and wide area networks.
