Arca Continental, one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the world, uses Citrix solutions to deliver business applications to more than 22,000 users globally.
The international manufacturer’s users span across a diverse service area, including Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador and the United States.
For Arca, the logistics of delivering shipments to different global locations is quite complex. “Citrix solutions empower Arca Continental to create revenue streams and sources of employment, while also enhancing the business’s needs to grow and expand as a corporation,” said José Güereque, Chief Innovation and Information Officer, Arca Continental.
Additional to the beverage business, Arca Continental owns Wise Foods, one of the oldest snack brands sold in the U.S.
The company is the majority stakeholder of PetStar, which is the largest food-grade recycling plant in the world.
Arca also runs a vending machine business unit with 44,000 machines, participates in several sugar mills in Mexico and Argentina, manages dairy businesses in Ecuador and Mexico, operates Bokados, one of the leading snack brands in Mexico.
Besides, Arca owns Inalecsa, the leading bakery in Ecuador. Arca Continental sells to large corporations as well as more than one million small local businesses, and operates over 400 dispersed distribution centers, with over one million transactions daily, and four million boxes of product delivered daily.
Arca recognised that Citrix technology helped to make it possible for the processes and systems across this wide variety of companies to operate consistently and securely 24/7.
Earlier in September, Citrix has announced that Japanese regional bank Hokuhoku Financial Group will be deploying Citrix XenDesktop for its next generation virtual desktop and application infrastructure integration in the first half of 2017.
The company, headquartered in Florida, has an annual revenue of $3.28 billion in 2015. According to the company, Citrix solutions are in use by more than 400,000 organizations and over 100 million users globally.
The company reported net revenue of $843 million in the second quarter 2016, up 6 percentyear-on-year. For the fiscal 2016, Citrix expects net revenue to be in the range of $3.37 – $3.39 billion.
