Citrix today announced the appointment of SAP veteran Tim Minahan as chief marketing officer (CMO) — responsible for leading and evolving the Citrix marketing strategy.
Minahan will report to Bob Calderoni, interim CEO and president, and executive chairman of Citrix. In another development, Citrix announced its decision to eliminate around 1,000 employees and spin off GoTo business into a separate, publicly traded company.
Citrix has termed Tim Minahan as the change agent for digital transformation, go-to-market strategy, demand generation, sales execution, M&A, and supply chain. Minahan has generated billions of dollars for both fast-growing start-ups and premier technology brands.
He comes to Citrix from SAP where he was CMO of SAP Cloud. Previously, he was at Ariba, where he served as senior vice president of Network Strategy as well as CMO.
“The company has uniquely helped businesses manage IT complexity for more than 25 years and they continue to look for ways to innovate. I look forward to working with the executive team to build and execute the next chapter in helping Citrix customers and partners find new ways to work better,” said Minahan.
