Cisco today said Bangkok Airways, a regional airline in Thailand, has deployed Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) to optimize its business.

Utilizing the UCS platform, Bangkok Airways can deliver real time business analytics for decision making, benefit from cost effectiveness. Agile in business processes, and optimize function by replacing silos of home-grown business process applications with integrated solutions to enhance their services with real-time notifications are some of the other benefits.
Cisco UCS will support Bangkok Airways to initiate Ground Operation Applications to keep real- time records for services utilized by each flight. The airline crews can analyze large volumes of data in real time, resulting in insights for the company’s executives.
The Cisco solution has helped Bangkok Airways create an Internal Mobile Application to to facilitate immediate customer compensations and accelerate business functions and performance, reduce and replace paper-based process, effectively appraise work performance on a daily basis.
Cisco UCS platform offers abstraction that integrates server, storage, and networking resources used for any application whether virtualized or non-virtualized, helping to eliminate the waste that can be caused by dedicating pools of resources to a specific purpose.
“Bangkok Airways is the first company to move their Suite on SAP HANA on Cisco UCS implementation into production,” said Vatsun Thirapatarapong, managing director for Cisco in Thailand and Indochina.
