Cisco Spark is arriving to reduce complexity of messaging, meeting, calling

Cisco videoconferencing
Enterprise IT vendor Cisco today announced Cisco Spark, a revolutionary technology focusing on reducing the complexity of messaging, meeting and calling.

Cisco Spark allows you to turn a phone call into a video meeting, move a video call from a room system to your mobile phone and then to another room with a single click. In addition, you can plug into the cloud and access your phones and video conferencing systems.

Enterprises have a lot invested in phone systems and other on-premises equipment. Cisco Spark Hybrid Services enables entirely new and amazing experiences by connecting this equipment to the cloud.

Cisco Spark Hybrid Services allows you to place a call from a Cisco IP phone. You can show content with a single click without setting up it. In addition, Cisco Spark Hybrid Services can connect more too. You need to type @spark or @webex into the location line when you create an invitation. Cisco Spark will start a room so the group can share content and ideas. It will automatically put meeting details into the invitation.

“My team is passionate about making tools for work that are as simple and delightful as the tools we use at home,” said Rowan Trollope, senior vice president and general manager of Cisco Collaboration, Data Analytics and IoT groups.

Cisco said Spark service will be available in the United States in the first quarter of 2016 and other countries throughout 2016. Cisco will launch Spark Hybrid Services in 21 countries beginning in the first quarter of 2016.
