Cisco and MGM Resorts ink technology agreement

Cisco and MGM Resorts International signed a 5.5-year Whole Portfolio Agreement (WPA), granting MGM access to Cisco’s software suite, including cybersecurity, software-defined networking, digital experience tools, and data center services.

The deal enhances guest and employee experiences at MGM’s iconic resorts. It also automates network operations, paving the way for advanced location services and machine learning applications in gaming and hospitality.

Cisco will ensures uptime and robust security for MGM’s 24/7 operations.

Branden Newman, CTO of MGM Resorts, said: “The agreement gives our employees the technology, speed, and agility they need to deliver amazing guest experiences.”

Scott Herren, CFO of Cisco, said: “We are supporting MGM Resorts’ digital transformation, driving innovation at scale.”

As Cisco’s lead partner, Technologent will ensure seamless integration of the technology to meet MGM’s digital transformation objectives.
