BT announced its deal with Methanex, a producer and supplier of methanol, to modernize and consolidate its networking and communications infrastructure.
BT, as per the enterprise networking deal, will support the company’s operations across 11 countries and 20 locations, consolidating its unified communications services from four vendors to one single supplier.
Methanex, which has manufacturing and marketing in North America, South America, Europe, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific, aims better collaboration and higher levels of productivity for its workforce of more than 1,100 employees.
Ward Chapin, vice president of IT at Methanex, said: “With BT, we are able to consolidate to a single supplier at a global scale to support our business.”
The global company will leverage BT Connect portfolio of networking solutions, including IP Connect Global and Internet services to create a global network that is easier to manage and offers scalability to meet the changing needs of the business.
