Broadcom has announced the availability of the Brocade G710 24-port 64G switch, the industry’s most responsive and energy-efficient SAN switch.

G710, featuring Brocade Gen 7 Fibre Channel technology, delivers a cyber-resilient and autonomous SAN solution designed for seamless integration into rack-based storage systems.

The G710 extends Broadcom’s 64G SAN portfolio, offering low-cost access to Gen 7 Fibre Channel technology. With 460 ns port-to-port latency at 64G speed, it achieves the lowest latency in the industry while consuming just 65 watts of power. The scalable switch supports configurations from 8 to 24 ports, a total bandwidth of 1.5 Tb/s, and addresses the most demanding application and storage needs.

The switch is designed for small to mid-sized businesses seeking reliable and secure storage networking. It offers six nines (99.9999 percent) availability and features self-healing and self-optimizing capabilities for continuous uptime and optimal performance. Its cyber-resilient architecture ensures robust security, including network isolation, root-of-trust validation, and protection against unauthorized access and malware.

The Brocade G710 provides lifetime investment protection with the industry’s only lifetime warranty, including 24/7 technical support, security patches, and firmware updates. This comprehensive support eliminates the complexities of post-warranty maintenance and ensures long-term system reliability.

The Brocade G710 switch is now available through Broadcom sales representatives and OEM partners, with shipments starting in the coming quarters. Price of Brocade G710 switch is not available.
