Brocade appoints Hadi Nahari as security CTO

Brocade
Enterprise networking Brocade has appointed Hadi Nahari as vice president and security chief technology officer (CTO).

The company has also promoted David Meyer to Brocade Fellow.

Hadi will drive Brocade’s product security strategy and innovation, while Dave will focus on emerging technologies, including machine learning research and development.

Before joining Brocade, Nahari was chief security architect of mobile and software platforms at NVIDIA where he initiated Trusted Little Kernel, the foundation for Android Trusty.

He has held principal security architect roles at PayPal, MontaVista Software, Motorola, NetScape and the U.S. Government. Nahari holds 13 patents — 11 in the U.S. and two in the European Union.

Since joining Brocade in 2012 as chief scientist and service provider CTO, Meyer has become the company authority on external technologies and industry direction. He is the co-inventor of the LISP programming language. Prior to joining Brocade, Meyer spent 12 years at Cisco as a distinguished engineer.

“Hadi and Dave each bring experience across many different technology sectors, including mobile, machine learning, massively scalable systems, and security,” said Ken Cheng, CTO and senior vice president of Corporate Development and Emerging Business at Brocade.
