BroadSoft buys Adaption Technologies

BroadSoft has acquired the assets of Texas-based Adaption Technologies Ventures, a provider of hosted business VoIP solutions.

The acquisition is aimed at enhancing BroadCloud Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery platform. Furthermore, the acquisition will enable BroadSoft to include BroadWorks’ features and functionality to its BroadCloud SaaS delivery platform.

The acquisition will add Adaption Technologies’ infrastructure and Rialto, a web-based service operating platform to the products line of BroadSoft.

With the integration of BroadSoft and Adaption Technologies’ infrastructure, telecommunications service providers will be able to quicklysell, provision, activate and bill for their hosted Unified Communications services.

Speaking on the acquisition, Michael Tessler, chief executive officer at BroadSoft said that addition of Adaption Technologies’ solutions to the company’s cloud platform will allow service provider customers to speed time-to-market and accelerate time-to-revenue for their branded Unified Communications solutions.

The company claims that the nww BroadCloud service is designed to help reduce the costs and complexities associated with the provisioning, managing and billing of Unified Communications services.

Scott Hoffpauir, chief technology officer at BroadSoft said the combination of Adaption Technologies’ capabilities and BroadWorks capabilities positions BroadSoft to directly address this service provider need.

Bezeq selects BroadSoft to offer hosted unified communications solution to Israeli enterprise market

In January this year, Bezeq, Israel’s largest telecommunications group, launched a hosted Unified Communications (UC) service, which was powered by BroadSoft’s BroadWorks voice application platform.
