BlueTie, a SaaS provider, has selected Adaptive Flash storage arrays from Nimble Storage, a flash storage solutions company.
BlueTie has noticed reduction in data center footprint, increased application performance, and obtained an immediate return on investment after the deployment.
Earlier BlueTie relied on aging legacy storage which resulted in operational complexity and inefficiency that increased costs and stifled IT productivity.
The SaaS provider wanted to reduce the company’s data center footprint, optimize performance for its email platform supporting nearly one million users, scale storage capacity to support expansion space and to save money for the future.
The company after evaluating number of storage vendors selected Nimble Adaptive Flash platform to meet its criteria.
Company said it has gained in application performance, storage capacity, as well as a reduction in its overall data center footprint.
BlueTie has experienced reduction in processing power and also slashed its IT support costs after deploying Nimble.
BlueTie is now saving more than $36,000 in power costs on an annualized basis as a result of footprint reduction.
“Everything is running very smoothly on Nimble, in contrast to the myriad problems we were having with our legacy provider. Nimble designed and built the arrays specifically for the needs of our organization,” said Robert Doty, president and CEO at BlueTie.
In February, LANDESK selected Nimble Storage Adaptive Flash platform Fibre Channel arrays to optimize applications and workloads across its IT environment while lowering the total cost of ownership for its storage infrastructure.
In January, Nimble Storage announced that WYNIT Distribution, LLC has replaced its legacy IT infrastructure with the Nimble Storage SmartStack integrated infrastructure solution.
With the new deployment, WYNIT Distribution can simplify its IT infrastructure, reduced transaction processing time by 60 percent, and implemented a new disaster recovery (DR) strategy.
