Bing has introduced a new knowledge and action graph API (application programming interface) for developers.
Developers can use new API to bring expertise of Bing directly into their apps.
With Bing’s new knowledge graph API, developers can use the data to fulfill their user’s information needs and also help users to perform searches, instead of forcing users to leave their apps to perform searches.
According to Microsoft, Bing has over billion entries (people, places and things) and the number is growing day by day.
In addition, developers will be able to tap Bing to provide information to 1 billion people, places and things as well as 18 billion connections and actions that people can use.
This apart, Bing has also updated its app for android and introduced new features like Bing Snapshots.
Bing Snapshot allows user to search for anything over Bing search without interrupting what user is doing by just long pressing the home button.
Additionally, user need not to leave the app to check other information.
Few days ago, Microsoft selected Interana to analyze the massive volumes of clickstream event data generated daily on Bing.
