Big Switch Networks hires Juniper Networks veteran Shaun Page as VP of Worldwide Sales

SDN vendor Big Switch Networks has hired Juniper Networks veteran Shaun Page as vice president of Worldwide Sales.

Page will be responsible for leading the company’s SDN sales and channel efforts, expanding coverage in North American markets, establishing an ecosystem of distribution partnerships and ramping up the company’s presence in Asia and Europe, said Big Switch Networks.

Big Switch Networks hired several senior executives in the last year including Douglas Murray as CEO, Jeffrey Wang as vice president of Engineering, Prashant Gandhi at vice president of Product Management and Strategy and Joe Palazola as vice president of Worldwide Operations and Support.

At Juniper Networks, Page held a variety of sales and alliances roles during his 13 years. His recent position was vice president of Strategic Accounts. He has established and led teams in the US, Asia and Europe and has covered Enterprise, Hyper-scale and Service Provider accounts.

He joined Juniper via the acquisition of Unisphere Networks in 2002, where he was the country manager for Australia/New Zealand.
