AT&T helps Koppert to improve communication

AT&T

Koppert Biological Systems has selected AT&T as its global supplier for advanced communications services.

For almost 50 years, Koppert has been offering solutions in crop protection, pest management, and natural pollination.

AT&T will move Koppert’s current  communications platform to a single network managed by AT&T. This will simplify and improve Koppert’s IT setup and cut costs. Further, it will connect Koppert’s 42 offices with a global private network spanning 26 countries.

“It is important for us to share information with all of our offices around the globe, whether they are located in Brazil or China,” said Leon Bakkers, IT Co-ordinator at Koppert Biological Systems.

Bakkers added that AT&T is helping Koppert to reach its goal of growing business in new markets and making agriculture sustainable and safe. “It is allowing us to continue learning about the world around us through research.”

With AT&T solutions in place, Koppert employees will be able to conduct their research around the world from any office. They can share data and large research files quickly, reliably and securely.

In August, AT&T announced its three-year, $150 million deal with Marriott International to provide a better experience to customers of the hotel chain.

As per the IT deal, AT&T will facilitate the move of Marriott’s applications to the cloud in the next 3-5 years. Marriott International will use AT&T’s 4G LTE cellular network to provide wireless backup solutions — enabling constant access to critical business applications.
