Aryaka, a WAN as-a-Service company, has appointed Shawn Farshchi as its president and CEO.
Shawn will lead Aryaka in its next growth phase as the company will increase it spend utilizing the recently secured $16 million additional funding, led by Nexus Venture Partners.
The company aims to add more executives, expand its field organization, invest in R&D, and develop strategic partnerships to boost channels revenues.
Aryaka will use majority of the funding to scale Aryaka’s sales infrastructure to boost its WAN as-a-Service, CDN, and Application Delivery as-a-Service offerings.
Ram Gupta, executive chairman of Aryaka, said: “His cross-industry experience and functional expertise are going to be instrumental in taking Aryaka to the next level.”
Prior to joining Aryaka, Shawn was the president and CEO of Saba Software, where he guided Saba from its legacy as a pioneer and leader in Learning Management Software to becoming a key player in the Talent Management Suite market.
Before Saba, he worked as chief operating officer at Coremetrics, an IBM company, a provider of digital marketing and web analytics delivered through a SaaS model. Prior to Coremetrics, Shawn worked as VP of Platform Engineering and Operations as well as GM of Voice Applications at WebEx Communications, now a part of Cisco.
Prior to WebEx, Shawn was a Regional VP at Oracle, Senior VP of Development at BroadVision, and CIO at DHL Airways.
