Infotech Lead America: Aruba Networks on Wednesday announced Aruba WorkSpace, a new component of the company’s ClearPass Access Management System.
Aruba WorkSpace enables enterprises, who are deploying BYOD, to ensure deployment of higher network priority automatically to work applications.
In the event an employee’s device connects to an untrusted network, Aruba WorkSpace can automatically establish application-specific VPNs to encrypt traffic and provide uninterrupted access to internal resources. In addition, Aruba WorkSpace can also restrict network access if a device is jail-broken or contains unapproved applications.
Aruba ClearPass features integration with top Mobile Device Management vendors, including AirWatch, Citrix, Fiberlink, JAMF Software, MobileIron and SOTI.

Customers can now easily use Aruba’s network access control in conjunction with MobileIron’s mobile application management and mobile device management capabilities to secure mobile apps, content, and devices.”
This integration allows enterprises customers with existing MDM solution deployments or preferences to realize a combined value of integrated, context-based network policy, device onboarding and security, and a full range of mobile device management capabilities.
In addition to providing BYOD controls for IT, Aruba WorkSpace offers end-user controls to personalize the BYOD experience and reduce the demands on helpdesk resources.
An Aruba WorkSpace mobile application is pushed to employee devices, allowing employees to access and manage work applications, share AirPrint and AirPlay devices with other users or groups, manage other on-boarded devices, and configure guest accounts. All aspects of BYOD are accessible to end users in one location.
Regional Medical Center at Memphis (The MED) is a customer of Aruba WorkSpace. The MED relies on Aruba’s WLAN solutions to provide quality patient care around the clock.
