Infotech Lead India: Array Networks has launched its new vxAGVirtual Secure Access Gateway for cloud and virtualized environments.

The new gateway is powered byArray’s 64-bit SpeedCore platform. Array Networks claims that the new product will benefit enterprises and service providers as they will have the ability to run Array’s AG Series secure access gateways as virtual machines on commodity servers running VMware ESXi, Citrix XenServer or OpenXen hypervisors.

“The cloud and virtualization is changing the landscape of application networking,” said Michael Zhao, president and CEO of Array Networks.

The introduction of the new vxAGVirtual Secure Access Gateway complements its vAPV software application delivery controller.

Moreover, each vxAGVirtual Secure Access Gateway supports all of the features and functions found on Array’s dedicated hardware AG 1000Series secure access gateways. Available for64-bit versions of VMware ESXi 4.1 or later, XenServer5.6 or later and OpenXen 4.0 or later, the vxAGVirtual Secure Access Gateway gives enterprises and service providers the agility and flexibility to create and offer dynamic secure access services.

Like Array’s dedicated AG 1000 Series secure access gateways, the vxAGVirtual Secure Access Gateway supports a range of secure access capabilities including virtual portals, AAA and dual-factor authentication, per-user policy engines, controlled access from managed and un-managed devices including desktops, laptops, tablets and smart phones.
