Arista Networks selected to build campus networking for ASX

Arista Networks has revealed the deal to build their next generation cognitive campus network environment for ASX, a leading equity and commodity exchange.

The network will be built utilising the Arista 720XP series switching platform and provide networking connectivity for the ASX’s staff at two major facilities in Sydney, and corporate sites in Melbourne and Perth.

ASX is already using and Arista Networks, including Arista’s low latency 7130 platform for high frequency trading, FPGA applications, and Arista EOS  (Extensible Operating System) and CloudVision software for network-wide management, workload orchestration and workflow automation, says David Glavin, GM Technology Infrastructure, ASX.

Arista Networks’ Ethernet switch revenues increased 31.6 percent in Q2 2021. Arista Networks’ Ethernet switch share touched 7.5 percent in second quarter, according to IDC report released in September.

Arista’s Ethernet switch revenues declined 9.9 percent in 2020. 100Gb revenues account for 72.9 percent of the company’s total revenue, reflecting the company’s longstanding presence at hyperscaler datacenters, cloud providers, and large enterprises.
