Arista Networks has partnered with Super Micro Computer to deliver integrated rack level solutions with network switches.
The two companies announced that Supermicro will integrate Arista’s networking switch products and EOS+ network operating system into its server and storage hardware to create rack level offering.
The storage in pre configured SDDC optimized racks targets OpenStack, VMware NSX and ESXi, Hadoop/Big Data, Ceph, Microsoft Hyper-V, High Performing Computing (HPC) workloads.
The companies will deliver integrated, tested and validated hardware and software solutions designed around the speed, scale and simplicity to accelerate customers’ cloud infrastructure deployments.
The complete rack solution will be available from Supermicro direct as well as Supermicro authorized resellers and channel partners.
“The partnership with Supermicro accelerates the adoption of next generation IT data center architectures, and enables our joint customers to take better advantage of hybrid cloud and cloud scale economics,” said Ed Chapman, vice president business development and alliances for Arista Networks.
Last year in August, Arista Networks and VMware announced partnership to enable customers to accelerate adoption of network virtualization in the software defined data center (SDDC).
Arista Networks announced the addition of EOS+, a software platform for network programmability and automation as an evolution of Arista EOS.
