AMD appoints Intel executive Jim Anderson as SVP of CG biz

AMD has appointed Intel executive Jim Anderson as senior vice president and general manager of Computing and Graphics (CG) business group.

Reporting to AMD President and CEO Lisa Su, Anderson will be responsible for managing all aspects of strategy, business management, engineering, and sales for AMD’s computing and graphics products and solutions.

Anderson joins AMD from Intel where he completed the acquisition and integration of the Axxia processor business from Avago Technologies to Intel.

Jim Anderson Joins AMD to Lead Computing and Graphics Business Group

Anderson spent the last decade at Avago Technologies and LSI Corporation in leadership positions spanning strategic planning, marketing, engineering, sales, and general management.

Prior to LSI, Anderson held strategic planning roles at Intel for mobile, laptop and server processors in addition to serving as a microprocessor architect.
