ALE Asia Pacific head Gerard Sillars
ALE, operating under the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise brand, announced the appointment of CommVault veteran Gerard Sillars as the vice president of Sales for Asia Pacific.

The company said Gerard Sillars replaces Matthieu Destot, who was recently appointed as executive vice president of the Communications Division and president of ALE International.

Gerard Sillars will manage all sales operations across the region – Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, India and the markets in ASEAN, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines. Gerard Sillars will report to Jan Zuurbier, executive vice president, Global Sales & Marketing, ALE.

Gerard Sillars worked at CommVault Systems for 13 years – handling senior leadership positions in building and growing CommVault’s business in Asia Pacific. In his most recent role as the Worldwide Vice President for CommVault’s Cloud Solutions Group, Gerard Sillars led the businesses to significant double digit revenue growth.

“Asia Pacific remains one of the key markets of growth for ALE and I’m excited to be part of this innovative team and look forward to continue growing the ALE business in this region,” said Gerard Sillars.
