Infotech Lead India: Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) provider AirWatch has appointed Jeff Baum as managing director for the Asia Pacific region.
AirWatch recently acquired Motorola Solutions’ MSP (Mobility Services Platform) business. The company recently announced a $200 million Series A funding lead by Insight Venture Partners.
Before joining AirWatch, Baum worked at Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, Logisticon and Haushahn Systems & Engineers.
The main responsibility of Baum will be to manage the growing team, direct strategy, cultivate customer and partner relationships, and scale operations in the region. Baum is currently based in Singapore.
An analyst firm recently indicated a 29 percent annual growth rate for the Asia Pacific enterprise mobility market.
In the past year, AirWatch doubled the number of employees in Asia Pacific to support customer demand and added more than 15 strategic partners to drive growth in the region.
“Asia Pacific continues to experience a rapid rate of mobile device adoption in the enterprise, and organizations are looking for industry leaders like AirWatch to support their mobile initiatives as the ecosystem evolves,” said John Marshall, president and CEO, AirWatch.
After joining Manhattan Associates in 1998, Baum established strategic footholds in EMEA and Asia Pacific, where he managed teams and grew international operations, now accounting for more than $68 million, based on 2012 revenues.
