Cloud-managed mobile networking provider Aerohive Networks has showcased its school optimized and mobile device friendly Wi-Fi solutions at the premier education technology show, ISTE 2014.
In a statement Aerohive said the solution helps simplify networking for K-12 and higher education customers across the globe by reducing the cost and complexity of campus deployments with cloud-enabled Wi-Fi solutions.
Aerohive demonstrated the functionality of its solution, including application visibility and control for high-speed and high-capacity networks, secure guest access. The solution also offers an integrated Client Management application, which gives schools the power to easily onboard and secure school-issued and BYO devices.
The solution manages applications and content for the connected devices. The company will also be demonstrating its education-focused applications, StudentManager and TeacherView, said company officials.
StudentManager is a WLAN monitoring and reporting system that includes TeacherView, a student monitoring and access control system. With TeacherView, educators gain at-a-glance visibility into student connectivity without having to walk around the classroom.
This solution also provides a suite of features including student information system integration, lesson planning and CIO-level reporting for classes, schools and districts, company officials said.
In addition to exhibiting, company has also arranged a SelfieBEE photo contest. Winners will get a GoPro HERO3 Black Edition camera.
To enter the contest, participants need to upload the photo to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag SelfieBEE. The contest runs through July 20 and winners will be announced on July 21.
