Adtran has launched NetVanta 6360 Carrier Ethernet Customer Edge IP business gateway that simplifies IP-based communications through the integration of service provider and enterprise equipment.
The solution eliminates multiple, single-purpose devices and collapses the functionality of a converged business-class voice gateway, an access router for data services and a Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF)-compliant Carrier Ethernet services gateway into a single, optimized platform for streamlined business services delivery, said Adtran.
NetVanta 6360 integrates Layer 2 service provider Network Termination Equipment (NTE) with Layer 3 enterprise Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). As businesses are transitioning their networks from legacy TDM to IP-based environments, a high level of complexity is created for both the service provider and the enterprise IT team.
The NetVanta 6360 simplifies this IP Transition with analog or digital gateway capability, as well as combines support for hosted VoIP, Ethernet, SIP trunking, cloud services and WAN access termination on a single IP platform.
The company claims that the solution provides unprecedented performance, reduces infrastructure and operating costs, as well as associated stocking time and training expenses.
