Accenture, SAP to assist oil & gas companies to improve and standardize processes

Accenture in association with SAP will assist oil and gas companies to improve and standardize processes.

The joint offering called Upstream Production Operations — based on SAP HANA platform — will replace legacy tools, provide single view of production across the organization, minimize uncertainty and improve the management of production, said Accenture in a statement.

Upstream Production Operations by Accenture and SAP will consist of solutions, services and training for energy companies’ production operations.

Chakib-Bouhdary SAP

As part of the program, Accenture and SAP will provide processes such as production forecasting, field data capture, production accounting and deferment management. Using SAP’s software platform as the backbone, Accenture will provide consulting, systems integration and outsourcing services.

Chakib Bouhdary, executive vice president, Industry Solutions, SAP, said: “Combining Accenture’s significant domain expertise in operations with SAP’s innovative IT solutions will create a variety of new upstream go-to-market offerings that don’t exist in the industry today. We believe this will change the game in helping our customers meet their production goals.”
