Avinash Vashistha, chairman and country managing director of Accenture in India since 2011, is leaving the IT services provider and consulting firm.
The company did not reveal additional details for the reasons for his departure.
Accenture posted 2 percent drop in revenues to $1.47 billion in Growth Markets in the third quarter of fiscal 2015. Accenture’s growth markets include Asia Pacific including India, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Russia and Turkey. On the other hand, global revenues of Accenture rose 0.4 percent to $7.8 billion.
Accenture India has appointed Rekha M Menon as its chairman and Anindya Basu as country managing director in India, splitting the responsibilities.
Menon, as the chairman of Accenture India, will play an active role in growing Accenture’s business and strengthening the company’s presence in communities across India.
She will be responsible for Inclusion & Diversity and Corporate Citizenship initiatives and institutional relationships with public authorities and industry associations.
Menon is currently managing director, Human Resources, for Accenture’s growth markets and has been leading the development and execution of the company’s human capital strategy for Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Russia, Turkey and Latin America.
Previously she was managing director, Geographic Operations for India, ASEAN and the Asia Pacific Delivery Centers, where she supported the growth and development of Accenture’s Global Delivery Network.
Basu, as the country managing director of Accenture India, will drive the domestic business in India and build relationships with key clients.
Basu will continue his role working with Accenture’s Products clients in India, as well as serving as the APAC regional lead of the company’s Automotive, Industrial, Infrastructure and Travel & Transportation Industry practice.
