Infotech Lead America: SAP, the official mobile app provider of the 2013 Sony Open, has created a new mobile app that will change the way fans experience the 2013 Sony Open, which will be played from March 18-31, in Crandon Park, Miami, Florida.
SAP says the app will deliver exclusive content, live scores, news, statistics, enhanced player profiles, photo, videos, competition and tournament information and will also feature an interactive visitor venue guide.
The app will offer a live “Match Center”. The archive feature of the app will enable fans to replay matches that were monitored using the Sony Open’s electronic line calling system.
The Sony Open and SAP will give one tennis fan the opportunity to watch the tournament in Miami. The package features VIP hospitality for finals weekend and includes flights, luxury accommodation and time to explore Miami.
“Sony Open mobile application, which we feel will enhance the user experience both for guests on-site and fans following the tournament around the world,” said Adam Barrett, Sony Open tournament director.
The app is available for download from the Sony Open website, Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS) and also through QR codes located around the tournament grounds.
