VMware revealed new features to Workspace ONE solution that integrates application and access management, unified endpoint management (VMware AirWatch), and virtual application delivery (VMware Horizon).
The US-based Cloud infrastructure and business mobility company said Workspace ONE solution assists organization to accelerate their digital transformation.
“As the benefits of digitization extend across the organization to include a broader set of employees and endpoints, there is an urgent need to break down technology silos and tackle shadow IT by standardizing on a digital workspace platform,” said Noah Wasmer, senior vice president, mobile products, End-User Computing, VMware.
Workspace ONE innovations will enabled IT departments to deliver unified access and single sign-on experience to Intranet applications that use Kerberos certs or HTTP headers, and will offer richer conditional access capabilities that combine real-time security hygiene with compliance automation.
Updates to AirWatch Unified Endpoint Management will enhance support across OS platforms for mobile (iOS, Android), desktop (Windows 10, macOS), purpose-built (ruggedized) and IoT endpoints to simplify provisioning.
Current technologies and solutions focus access control on specific attack vectors such as cloud, network and endpoint, but do not unify the access control perimeter across all applications and endpoints.
Workspace ONE combines identity and enterprise mobility management (EMM) to help organizations securely access all business applications and services with an improved end-user experience.
“United Bank wanted to use the most advanced technology to benefit the bank and especially to benefit our customers. Without having AirWatch as the base of our security, this transition to mobile would not have been possible,” said Willem Bagchus, messaging and collaboration specialist, United Bank.
The company believes that the new pricing and packaging will simplify the selection, purchase and deployment of Workspace ONE. The packaging enables organizations at different phases of their Digital Workspace or Unified Endpoint Management journey to segment their users and select the appropriate set of capabilities.
