Visual communication solutions provider Vidyo is all set to launch its Ultra HD soft room system, offering affordable high quality video conferencing.
Vidyo will introduce VidyoRoom SE (Soft Edition) and Ultra HD (4K) rendering capabilities of its VidyoRoom HD-230 and VidyoPanorama 600 solution at the InfoComm to be held at Las Vegas between June 18 and 20.
VidyoRoom SE can render content and video in Ultra HD, deliver 4K-ready infrastructure as a software-only upgrade, offer 4K rendering endpoints as a software-only upgrade, and provide a fully functional, software-only group solution with performance capability greater than immersive tele-presence, Vidyo said in a statement.
Vidyo said that VidyoRoom SE is a software application that installs on customer-provided general purpose computers such as Intel NUC. By enabling customers to source hardware locally and avoid import duties and fees, the SE delivers a lower initial cost and a lower total cost of ownership for group video communications solutions.
SE is designed for easy remote control operation, which enables even the remote participants to control the in-room camera. It has features like calendar integration for single click meeting connection and automatic rendering of shared content on a second screen.
VidyoRoom SE can be installed as an application on an open compute platform, which can run other application and provide simplified access to content for sharing and collaboration, company officials stated.
Vidyo is offering 4K as a free upgrade for VidyoRoom HD-230 and VidyoPanorama 600 systems that are on a current maintenance and support plan. 4K is also available as an option for new VidyoRoom SE customers. Its simple single screen deployment offers flexible screen real estate for rendering of 4x1080p or 9x720p participant streams.
VidyoRoom SE and Vidyo 4K software upgrades and products will be available globally from July, 2014, Vidyo said.
