Brightspeed selects network transformation solution from Ribbon

Brightspeed, an internet service provider and the fourth largest fiber builder in the United States, has selected Ribbon Communications to modernize Brightspeed’s network infrastructure while maintaining services for existing customers.

Brightspeed is deploying Ribbon’s solutions such as C20 Call Controller, Application Server, SBC, PSX centralized policy and routing server, and Ribbon Application Management Platform to modernize its central office equipment.

Baidu selects Hesai for Robotaxis

Hesai Technology, a provider of lidar safety technology for automotive and robotics applications, has a contract from Baidu to become the long-range lidar supplier for its robotaxi platform Yichi 06.

This lidar deal is worth an estimated $200-300 million based on Baidu’s plans to deploy 100,000 robotaxi vehicles in China.

Valantic FSA sign with Nasdaq to develop Web UI 

Valantic FSA has agreed with Nasdaq to develop Nasdaq Rates Trader, a new web-based user interface for Nasdaq’s Nordic and Baltic fixed income markets.

The new UI will give access to Nasdaq’s data and trading functionality with a modern and intuitive front-end and feature advanced data visualization, customizable workspaces.

Google to infuse AI into broadcast of Paris Olympics

Alphabet’s Google will infuse artificial intelligence into the U.S. broadcast of the Paris Olympics, allowing sports commentators to use AI to explain competitions.

Google will be named the official search AI partner of Team USA, marking the first time a tech company has partnered with the sports nonprofit.

CMA CGM selects Google for AI solutions

French shipping and logistics company CMA CGM has signed a partnership with Alphabet’s Google to speed up deployment of AI solutions across its operations worldwide, the two companies announced on Thursday.

CMA CGM aims to increase efficiency and shorten delivery times through the optimisation of routes, container handling, and inventory management, while minimising costs and carbon emissions.
