T-Systems, a Deutsche Telekom company, today announced the signing of large IT systems integration with Daimler, an automaker.

The company did not reveal the size of the deal. T-Systems said the size of the IT deal would be several hundred million euros.

The two companies will advance promising future topics such as connected cars and the cloud-based workplace together.

Reinhard Clemens, Deutsche Telekom Board member and T-Systems CEO, said: “The major trust that this customer places in us shows that Daimler is extremely pleased with our performance and wishes to continue our close collaboration.”

T-Systems has supported the automotive group with application services in development, maintenance and consulting for many years.
