SABMiller has awarded T-Systems IT contract to provide its global backbone and European network.
New network capabilities to be introduced by T-Systems will increase the volume of traffic that is supported on available bandwidth while reducing total cost of ownership.
“We have decided to implement a multi-vendor global data network. T-Systems is a well-positioned partner for our technology infrastructure in Europe and core services, offering us the capabilities we require from a world-class network, and capable of supporting SABMiller’s future growth,” said Peter Brickley, SABMiller Global CIO.
The new network will deliver access to data for approximately 12,000 SABMiller end-users. In addition, T-Systems will provide capabilities such as Security; Telepresence; Remote Access; IP-VPN and Application Performance Monitoring.
