Swisscom launches cloud-based video conferencing on Vidyo platform

Swisscom has launched a new cloud-based video conferencing services based on the VidyoWorks platform.

Vidia is targeted at small and medium enterprises. SMBs can participate in multi-party video calls and will benefit from multipoint HD video conferencing systems over smartphones, tablets and desktops, Vidyo said.

“The integration of Vidyo has enabled us to offer our business clients the ability to place HD video conferencing calls,” said Erich Gebhardt, head of Transversal Products, Swisscom.

The company said VidyoWorks platform and APIs allow developers across a variety of markets and applications to attain a level of HD video conferencing scalability and geographical distribution that has never before been achieved affordably and with such high quality.
