Panduit buys AV manufacturer Atlona

Panduit has acquired AV manufacturer Atlona. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Panduit buys AtlonaAtlona’s products include networked AV, signal distribution, wireless collaboration, and AV system automation – targeting commercial and residential AV and IT markets, including education, business, government, entertainment, and healthcare.

The company’s AV solutions enable system designers, integrators, consultants, and installers to simplify installation and minimize maintenance.

The Atlona team – headed by CEO Ilya Khayn — will join Panduit’s Enterprise business group.  Atlona will to serve its customers from its global headquarters in San Jose, Calif. for all sales, customer support, and training related inquiries.

Headquartered in Tinley Park, Ill., US Panduit creates electrical, network infrastructure and AV solutions for enterprise-wide environments, from the data center to the telecom room, from the desktop to the plant floor.

Dennis Renaud, president and CEO of Panduit, said: “Their solutions complement Panduit’s physical infrastructure portfolio, which will allow us to offer customers a quality end-to-end solution.”
