Panasonic, Atos to develop solutions for Tokyo Olympic Games

Panasonic has tied up with Atos to develop technology-based solutions for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Atos, a provider of ICT services and Panasonic, a provider of audio visual technology, will create new business synergies.

They will jointly develop and test AV security systems, as well as electronic visual display systems including digital signage to be placed in the stadiums and other facilities including the roll out of multilingual digital displays during the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Tatsuya Kamimura, managing director of Atos, said: “We are confident that this collaboration will take Tokyo 2020 to a whole new level of success by connecting the Olympic Games to a new generation of viewers, spectators and participants amidst a rapidly changing digital landscape.”

Masahiro Ido, executive officer of Panasonic and director of Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Enterprise Division, said: “By uniting the IT technology of Atos and the AV technology of Panasonic, we offer further commitment to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games and hope to leave a lasting legacy.”

Atos has been an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the IT category since the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Games. Panasonic has been a contributor to the Olympic and Paralympic Movement since becoming an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio Visual (AV) category during the Calgary 1988 Winter Games.
