Finnish smartphone vendor Nokia will supply approximately 30,000 Nokia Lumia smartphones to CaixaBank, a Spanish financial group.
The collaboration between CaixaBank, Nokia, and Microsoft has enabled Nokia and Microsoft to offer technical and creative support in CaixaBank’s technological development phase.
The financial institution selected Nokia Lumia 925 for the first phase. It will use future versions of Lumia models in the future.
The bank’s employees can also purchase Nokia devices for their personal usage, as well as for family and friends – under a special program.
Nokia Lumia 925 features thin and light aluminum structure, PureMotion HD+ 4.5 inch screen, 8.7 megapixel camera with PureView technology, Windows Phone operating system OS, etc.
The bank will benefit as Nokia Lumia will ensure encryption of information, isolation between applications and embedded anti-malware protection.
There will be support for new ways of interacting with banking services using NFC.
The bank can ensure integration with common office needs via embedded Microsoft Office and access to Microsoft Exchange, Sharepoint and Lync.
In addition, bank will also benefit from the ability to develop a common environment for corporate applications between smartPC and Nokia Lumia smartphones.
