Network Shipping (NWS), the ocean logistics arm of Fresh Del Monte, has selected logistics and supply chain technology solutions provider Grydd to automate the platform.
The implementation will help NWS achieve nearly 100 percent compliance in its shipping operation, the company said.
NWS will deploy Grydd to modernize the manual process that relies on spreadsheets, letters, phone calls. Grydd helps NWS manage its assets, plan routes, book shipments, create purchase orders, and track assets, shipments, and product conditions with transparency of its financial and operative data.
The market is demanding faster lead times, lower costs and a better service experience, yet 75 percent of supply chain and logistics companies in the world are still operating under manual processes, according to Grydd.
The deployment of Grydd solutions will assist NWS in outpacing its big shipping line competitors with an almost 100 percent on-time arrival rate versus the reliability of big shipping lines that is between 26 to 50 percent.
