Meituan, Deliveroo, Uber Eats leaders in online food delivery business

China’s Meituan, the UK’s Deliveroo, and Uber Eats have captured the top 3 positions in the global online food delivery business, respectively.
Uber Eats networkVenture capital and technology investment has fuelled the e-commerce-based food delivery business. But online food companies have yet to deliver profits — even in the sector-friendly circumstances of the global pandemic when delivery became more necessity than convenience.

Zomato and Swiggy, Indian online food delivery platforms, have made it to the list of the world’s Top 10 e-commerce-based food delivery companies.

Swiggy was placed in 9th place and Zomato on 10th in the list of e-commerce-based food delivery companies in the world, according to the Canada-headquartered global research firm ETC Group
