NCR announced that Charles C Parks, a full line convenience (grocery) distributor serving seven southern states, has selected NCR Power Mobile.

The company said NCR Power Mobile enables both the customers and sales representative of the grocery store to place orders using mobile devices.
Customers and sales representative can access real time status update on product data, promotions, new items in the lines and track order status from point of entry through delivery and payment, said NCR.
David Lowery, IT manager at Charles C Parks, said: “We live and work in an increasingly mobile and dynamic space. Providing our convenience customers with instant access to all facets of their inventory purchases in the palm of their hands is the next logical step providing the best service possible.”
Besides using NCR Power Mobile, Charles C Parks also utilizes NCR supply chain software solution including Power enterprise, power analyzer, power net, power delivery and vendor portal.
Meanwhile, Jake’s Finer Food has already deployed NCR Delivery Software for Android Mobile Devices to engage with more shoppers effectively. The deployment has helped in eliminating paperwork costs, increasing inventory accuracy, reduced labor cost, increase in cash flow and expansion in sale to increase revenues.
This apart, Axfood, one of the retail customers of NCR, has earlier tapped NCR Retail technology to better customer experience.
Axfood has chosen NCR and scanner technology to engage and interact with customers more effectively and help increase sales.
NCR Power Mobile runs on any mobile operating system and any tablet or smartphone device, and also utilizes barcode scanning and image capturing for expanded search capabilities.
Customer and service representative both can place and search orders, research the product details, access sales sheets and websites and provide selling opportunities that increase sales and forecasts customer loyalty using NCR Power Mobile software.
