BT launches personalized video service to boost customer engagement

BT on Tuesday announced the launch of personalized video solutions.

BT has joined hands with Idomoo to launch the personalized video capabilities that will be part of BT’s Cloud Contact services.

Two UK retail banks have piloted BT’s Cloud Contact personalized video service that allows businesses to create a video message template and integrate data relevant to an individual customer to generate personalized message. Personalized voice narration and individualized data will be delivered to ensure uniqueness of the video message.

BT in a statement said enterprises can use the video service to boost customer engagement. Use cases include initial marketing, through on-boarding, to statements and other regular customer communications.

The company is offering most languages for both text and voice. Users can select language as they watch the video. The service can also be used to provide information to customers who have difficulties with traditional printed documentation.

BT is delivering the personalized video service from the cloud, ensuring elimination of initial capital investment.

Enterprises can integrate the video solution with an organization’s web presence, enabling near real-time creation of personalized videos, delivered direct to a customer’s device including computer, tablet, smartphone or smart TV.

“Our new service helps businesses connect with their customers in a much more creative and engaging way. It helps them create deeper, more personalized interactions, thus improving customer service and increasing sales,” said Andrew Small, vice-president, Unified Communications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), BT Global Services.
