BT to consolidate communications infrastructure of BPO firm Williams Lea

Business process outsourcing (BPO) and marketing firm Williams Lea has selected BT to consolidate its communications infrastructure.

As per the IT deal, BT will bring Williams Lea’s voice and data services onto a unified global platform via a single outsourcing contract, replacing 30 previous suppliers. This will result in cost savings and improved operational efficiency for Williams Lea. BT does not share specific details on cost savings to the global BPO vendor.

Williams Lea CIO Matt Porter said BT will assist the BPO firm to deliver quality services faster and at a lower cost.

BT will supply voice and data services, including customer phone exchange (PBX) management and One Voice SIP Trunking. The contract also covers standard IP connectivity and the provision of an Internet gateway at the company’s European hub. These new services will be used in the future by Williams Lea to enhance its internal communications processes through the deployment of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) solutions.
