BroadSoft inks UC deal with Wavenet

BroadSoft announced its deal with UK business services provider Wavenet to supply BroadCloud  managed services to offer an integrated IP voice and Unified Communications (UC) service to its customers and channel partners.

Wavenet, which has 2,000 customers and supports 20,000 users in the United Kingdom, provides with core telephony services.

Wavenet’s arrangement with BroadSoft will enable the company to accelerate delivery of its hosted software and services, as customers demand the flexibility and scalability afforded by cloud-based infrastructure.

Wavenet’s customers will have access to BroadSoft’s UC-One that brings together communications services such as instant messaging, presence, voice and video calling, collaboration, and desktop sharing in real-time to enhance business productivity.

“BroadSoft’s UC-One application accelerates the enterprise shift from premise-based to hosted UC — while helping businesses realize the full benefits of the cloud,” said Mike Wilkinson, vice president, market offers, BroadSoft.

BroadSoft will support Wavenet customers’ demand for flexible, robust IT and communications infrastructure that can support applications and devices in any location.
