Avaya today introduced two new Collaboration Pod models for Cloud Service Providers, enabling them to offer Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) and Contact Center-as-a-Service (CCaaS) to end customers.
Cloud Service Providers Connex and ROI Networks will be powering their new UCaaS offers for their customers using the Avaya Collaboration Pod.
Avaya has added advanced Customer Experience Management functionality to the Collaboration Pod model for enterprises. It will support multichannel interactions through Avaya Elite Multichannel, self-service via the Avaya Experience Portal and management through the Avaya Call Management System.
The company has enhanced all Collaboration Pod models with Avaya Fabric Connect networking that improves the network performance of applications and provides simplified virtual machine mobility and faster time to service via end point provisioning.
Based on solutions from Avaya, EMC and VMware, Avaya provides support for Collaboration Pod components, simplifying software upgrades and eliminating the need for support coverage from multiple vendors.
Avaya claims that Collaboration Pods can reduce the time to deploy virtualized real-time applications from months to weeks.
The other benefit is that Avaya Collaboration Pods are customized and pre-configured to the needs of each customer and can be expanded as needs change.
For Cloud Service Providers, the Collaboration Pods support multi-tenancy and multi-instance deployments.
Avaya Collaboration Pods can offer a reduced Total Cost of Ownership over a five year period versus comparable do-it-yourself (DIY) and appliance-based approaches.
