Airbus, the world’s largest planemaker, has revealed it delivered 323 airplanes in the first half of the year, up 2 percent from 316 in the same period of 2023.
Airbus said in a monthly bulletin that it won 327 gross orders in the first six months of 2024, or a net total of 310 after cancellations, Reuters news report said.
Airbus earlier this month decided to cut its delivery target and delay plans for increases in underlying production.
Airbus in June said it has decided to record charges of around €0.9 billion in the H1 2024 accounts. These are mainly related to updated assumptions on schedules, workload, sourcing, risks and costs over the lifetime of certain telecommunications, navigation and observation programmes.
Airbus now intends to deliver around 770 commercial aircraft in 2024. Airbus aims to ramp up towards a rate of 75 A320 Family aircraft per month, which is now expected in 2027.
