Nearly 60 percent of firms in United Kingdom provide smartphones to their mobile workers, according to a new report by Strategy Analytics.
According to the report, 48 percent of the UK workforce is mobile and mobile workers travel at least 20 percent of the time.
As compared to 2013, spending on Mobile Devices, SaaS and IaaS has increased in 2014, said Strategy Analytics.
UK corporates allow their employees to purchase and use their own mobile devices as this saves cost and user has their choice while selecting devices.
Also, corporations and their employees regularly replace and upgrade their smartphones and tablets every one-to-three years.
23 percent of UK firms said they will support Microsoft’s Windows Phone within next 12 months while currently majority of businesses support Apple iOS and Google Android smart phones and tablets.
The report said IT also face challenges to secure corporate information as UK firms are adopting BYOD.
